Tesla Motors: $ 275,000 fine due to lack of emission certificate
Tesla Motors has agreed with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to the payment of a fine in the amount of 275,000 U.S. dollars.
The reason for this was that Tesla Motors does not issue certificate ("Certificate of Conformity"), the EPA had and has been the consistency of its electric vehicles with the requirements of the Clean Air Act does not "officially established.
This risk is obviously Tesla Motors entered into with open eyes. In a Securities and Exchange Commission report for the second Quarter, the company had pointed to possible costs due to violation of regulations for auto manufacturers, while just chosen as an example of this certificate.
